Structures department

Number of open positions: 0

Welcome to the Structures Department - the muscle of our rocket program! We're all about building rockets that not only reach for the stars but come back in one piece. Our department is responsible for design, production and testing of inner and outer structures that can withstand extreme forces. From aerodynamic outer shells and fin-tastic fins to inner structures, we make sure our rocket flies smoothly along its simulated flight trajectories. And don’t forget our recovery system - because bringing our rockets back home is just as important as launching them into the skies. Join us in creating robust, resilient rocket structures that ensure everything stays intact from launch to landing!

Responsibilities

  • Create 3D CAD models and simulations for rocket components

  • Use flight simulation software for trajectory prediction and optimization

  • Build and improve structures for test and launch sites

  • Design, produce and test internal and external rocket structures and recovery systems

  • Use 3D printing for rapid prototyping and component testing

  • Analyze fluid dynamics for aerodynamic stability and fin design

  • Select materials for optimal durability, strength, aerodynamics and weight

  • Develop practical skills in welding, machining, 3D printing, composite materials and more

We offer you …

  • Invaluable work experience with exciting and complex technical projects

  • Technical courses, both internal and external

  • Access to an open workspace, including lab and workshop facilities

  • Networking in both academia and the industry

  • Potential job opportunities

  • New friendships and unforgettable experiences

  • Being part of an aspiring social environment

  • Rockets - because some dreams are meant to be launched!

We expect you to …
