

About the role
As a Financial Associate at Portal Space, you’ll be responsible for keeping our mission financially sustainable and organized. You will manage everything from budgeting and accounting to fundraising and sponsor relations, ensuring our projects have the resources they need to succeed.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial management within a growing student-led organization. You’ll work closely with management and operations to support strategic decisions and day-to-day operations.

What You'll Do

Maintain accurate records of the organization’s financial transactions (accounting).

Develop and manage budgets in collaboration with team leads and management.

Prepare and follow up on financial reports and expense tracking.

Coordinate the financial aspects of events, projects, and test campaigns.

Apply for funding, scholarships, and grants.

Identify potential sponsors and lead fundraising efforts.

Negotiate and maintain agreements with businesses and foundations.

Prerequisites

Fluent in English and Norwegian.

Must be enrolled at a higher education institution in Oslo

Open to bachelor students (all years), 1st-year master's students, one-year programme students, and single subject students

Must be able to commit to at least two semesters with the expected weekly workload

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently

Motivated, responsible, and eager to learn

No prior experience with finance, accounting, or fundraising is required — but is considered an advantage.
