Preparing students for a future in space
Portal Space is a student-led rocketry organization founded in 2020 at the University of Oslo — open to all students in Oslo with a passion for space, engineering, and innovation.
In 2021, we made history by firing Norway’s first liquid rocket engine developed and built entirely by students. Our projects are developed for educational and scientific purposes, giving students the opportunity to apply theory in practice and contribute to meaningful space-related research.

Our vision is to prepare students for the challenges of the space industry. That’s why we don’t take the easiest path to reach our goals—we prioritize learning above all. Whether it’s manufacturing or accounting, we believe the best way to grow is by doing. Instead of relying on off-the-shelf solutions, we invest in tools and build systems in-house whenever possible. This hands-on approach empowers our members to develop real skills through real experience.
